Dhaka Dyamites breathed a sigh of relief after sealing their spot in the playoffs to take on Barisal Bulls after Sylhet Superstars imploded in the most anti-climatic fashion on Thursday (December 10). A brilliant all-round effort from Rayad Emrit handed Barisal a thrilling two-wicket win.

Comilla Victorians, Rangpur Riders, Barisal Bulls and Dhaka Dynamites have now made it to the playoffs stage.

Sylhet Super Stars vs Comilla Victorians

Sylhet required to beat Comilla Victorians within 10.4 overs to stand a chance to pip Dhaka on the basis of net run rate, but instead, they crumbled to 79 all out in 13.5 overs.

After Comilla were asked to bat, Sylhet struck early to dismiss Liton Das in the second over. Imrul Kayes and Ahmed Shehzad, however, showed their form from the earlier games wasn't sporadic; the duo shared a 68-run stand for the second wicket after which both fell in successive overs. While Shehzad scored 42 off 31 balls, Kayes gave Shahid Afridi a simple return catch for 27.

There was a surprise in the batting order as Alok Kapali came in ahead of Andre Russell. He ended up with a 26-ball 32 as Comilla finished with 150 for 4 in their quota of overs.

In reply, Sylhet were comfortably placed at 33 for 1 in the fifth over. However, the next six overs were probably their worst of the tournament. They lost their next seven wickets for just 24 runs in 5.3 overs.

The collapse didn't start after Junaid Siddique was out for 10 in the fourth over, but did with Abu Hider taking a sharp running catch that sent Josh Cobb back for 21. Russell then showcased some of his West Indian swagger with a short dance before breaking the stumps at the bowler's end, while Ravi Bopara and Mushfiqur Rahim were almost next to each other.

Shuvagata Hom struck a double blow to get both Mushfiqur and Sohail Tanvir in the same over. Afridi, Ashar Zaidi then followed suit to have Afridi and Nurul Hasan in the ninth over with Sylhet 50 for 7. Mominul Haque delayed the inevitable with 15 but the last three wickets fell quikly enough. Sylhet ended their rather disappointing campaign with three wins in ten matches and finished only above Chittagong Vikings.

Brief scores: Comilla Victorians 150 for 4 in 20 overs (Ahmed Shehzad 42, Alok Kapali 32*, Ashar Zaidi 31) beat Sylhet Super Stars 79 in 13.5 overs (Josh Cobb 21, Mominul Haque 15*; Shuvagata Hom 3-8, Andre Russell 2-9, Ashar Zaidi 2-4) by 71 runs.Dhaka Dynamites vs Barisal BullsNikhil Dutta, the 21-year-old,
