At one point, Bangladesh were in a terrific position to drive home their advantage. Shakib Al Hasan and Litton Das had just put up a record sixth-wicket stand for the hosts against South Africa and with the way they were batting, it looked like, the Tigers are not only going to take the lead but build it up to a number that will put pressure on the Proteas.

However, that was not to be and when Shakib succumbed, with a lead of just 29, other batsmen could not carry on. Bangladesh ended up with a lead of 78, a figure the South African openers quickly eroded in the 21 overs that they played. The visitors now trail by a mere 17 runs and will take lead without much fuss. The real question is - whether the Bangladeshi bowlers can emulate their first innings success and initiate a South African collapse?
And then there's the rain - looming over Chittagong, teasing the players, testing the groundsmen and it might turn out to be the only thing that matters as the day progresses. We'll find out soon....
