When you bowl out the opposition for a paltry score of 248 and then bat well enough, there is no doubt that you are going to remain on top even before the third day's play begins.

Bangladesh are currently 179/4, only 69 runs behind South Africa's total. Fifties from Tamim and Mahmudullah have lifted them to this position and now with Mushfiqur and Shakib at crease, they find themselves in an ideal situation to eat into the deficit and take lead.

The weather, though, remains an uncertainty. Rain could spoil the hosts' momentum and they would like to score as quickly as possible.

Let's find out what happens.... Till then you can catch on our yesterday's live blog to find out how exactly things unfolded.

Dale Steyn was bowling superbly at the start of day 3 and provided the early breakthrough for South Africa by dismissing Mushfiqur Rahim on 28. Mushy was looking to flick a delivery that nipped back in sharply and rapped him on the pads instead. The on-field umpire was unsure about it and did not give it out but Steyn convinced Amla to go for a review. It was a fantastic one as Hawk-Eye showed 'three reds' and the ball would have certainly gone onto hit the middle stump.
