It is the battle of the two kings as team number eight Kings XI Punjab will take on team number one Chennai Super Kings in their final league game. CSK have already qualified for the play-offs, while KXIP have already been confirmed as the wooden spoon holders. KXIP have nothing to play for except pride. A loss today will not affect CSK's play-offs chances, but it will definitely be instrumental in deciding their position in the points table.

Remember, a finish in the top two ensures that the team gets two chances of making it to the final.

In their last game against RCB, KXIP showed us why they can't be taken lightly even though they are languishing at the bottom of the table. On the other hand, CSK failed miserably against DD but, of course, it is not a team to be taken lightly.

With Brendon McCullum set to leave for national duty, it will be interesting to see if CSK give Michael Hussey a chance before the playoffs. McCullum's form has been instrumental for CSK's success this season and CSK might play him one last time, considering the top position is at stake. At the same time, Hussey hasn't played a game yet in this year's IPL and making him play directly in the playoffs could well turn out to be risky.

Both Patel and Dhawan hit a six each off Bravo in the 19th over. It was an expensive one, but the West Indian took his revenge by picking up his 20th wicket of the season. Nopes, he is not letting the purple cap get away. Axar Patel was deceived by a slower delivery, a top-edged it and MS Dhoni ran to his left to complete a 'cool and calm' catch.

Nehra bowled the final over. The first four balls were simply fantastic and yielded just one run. On the fifth one, however, Dhawan was able to connect and dispatched the full toss over long-on for a maximum.

KXIP end on 130/7. Nothing great. 30-40 runs short than what was expected on this wicket. But, do you believe in miracles?

KXIP skipper George Bailey won the toss and elected to bat first. As usual, Bailey had a sweet smile on his face as he said he wanted to finish on a high. There were no changes in the team.

On the other hand, CSK's captain MS Dhoni said that they want to finish at the top as it gives them an extra chance. An interesting change for the visitors - Michael Hussey comes in, but not in place of Brendon McCullum but Dwayne Smith (or Doctor Smith, as MSD called him). Also, the legendary Ashish Nehra is fit and he replaces Mohit Sharma.

So the Kings XI Punjab have decided to try their skills with the bat first. But, against the intimidating CSK bowling attack do they stand the chance to score big? Don't forget, Ashish Nehra is back and now the CSK bowling has some teeth (no pun intended).
