Harshit Rana likely to be ruled out of T20 World Cup

Harshit Rana may be ruled out of the 2026 T20 World Cup which will be played in India and Sri Lanka from February 7.

Rana's possible unavailability for the championship, starting inside 24 hours, was hinted at by India skipper Suryakumar Yadav.

"He is still not ruled out but looks doubtful. We will know by evening. He had a niggle during the warm-up game on Wednesday (versus South Africa at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai) but the situation is not very encouraging," Suryakumar Yadav said on the eve of India's first match of World Cup.

Defending champions India take on USA at the Wankhede in Mumbai on Saturday (February 7).
