Khaled Mahmud, former Bangladesh captain and Noakhali Express head coach, walked out of his team's training session at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Thursday, citing displeasure over management.
Mahmud, who was accompanied by former national pacer and Noakhali Express pace bowling coach, insisted that he would not continue as head coach of the franchise.
"I will not do the BPL under any circumstances," Mahmud told reporters at the ground. "I have never seen this in the BPL," he added.
Talha echoed the same sentiment. "I don't want to work. I don't know about you, Sujon( Mahmud) bhai, but I am not working," Talha said.
Hours later, however, Mahmud and Talha both returned to the practice after a close friend of the duo managed to convince them to stay back as it would hamper their career in the long run.
Mahmud had earlier arrived at the ground with Noakhali Express at around 1:30pm on Thursday ahead of the BPL matches in Sylhet, suddenly drew all the attention as he and Talha walked away from the ground shouting with someone over phone at the other end.
Cricbuzz understands there were not enough balls for the practice session and Mahmud was utterly disappointed with the whole matter and had altercation with the owner of the Noakhali Express, who misbehaved with him when his attention was drawn regarding the matter.
The incident happened hours after BCB took the ownership of Chattogram Royals and took the whole BPL governing council body by surprise by their move.
Iftekhar Rahman said that they are happy that Royals owner surrendered even before the balls were bowled as it helped them from getting into further embarrassment during the midst of BPL.
"I think this (Royal leaving BPL) is good in one way as if we had said that you manage the players now telling them you will pay them later in that case the game would proceed," Iftekhar told reporters at Sylhet.
"We definitely looking at the good side as we don't want move a bit from integrity issue and players payment," he said.
"As far as Noakhali is concerened what I heard their plane haven't arrived (carrying the balls and other things) but if they had asked to BPL governing council we would have given them 10 balls but having said that this means they are unprofessional," he said.
"At least they ( Noakhali) paid 25 percent of players payment," he added.
