On a day that will be etched in the history of Indian cricket, Bihar broke the world record for the highest score ever in List A cricket. Led by a stunning 84-ball 190 from young Vaibhav Raghuvanshi, Bihar went on the rampage against Arunachal Pradesh and if his efforts weren't enough, Sakibull Gani broke the record for the fastest century by an Indian in List A cricket by bringing up three figures off just 32 balls. He hammered 12 sixes in his 40-ball 128* as Ayush Loharuka's 56-ball 116 took a backseat in Bihar's mindboggling 574/6. A dejected Arunachal just didn't stand a chance as they were bowled out for 177 to lose by a massive margin of 397 runs.

Devdutt Padikkal's 118-ball 147 trumped Ishan Kishan's 39-ball 125 at number 6 as Karnataka scripted List A history with the highest recorded chase in Indian domestic cricket. Kishan's blazing knock, laced with 14 sixes and seven fours, had provided the late fireworks for Jharkhand to finish with a mammoth 412. Padikkal, however, carried his bat for the better part of the chase in a 118-ball effort that saw seven sixes and 10 more boundaries. Karnataka overhauled the target with 2.3 overs to spare in Narendra Modi Stadium's B Ground in Ahmedabad.

Aman Mokhande (110) and Dhruv Shorey (136) slammed hundreds to propel Vidarbha to a massive 382/5 in their tournament opener. However, their scintillating effort and 195-run partnership was in vain as Bengal chased down the massive total with seven balls to spare in Rajkot. Incidentally, the winners didn't have a single centurion on their side - Shahbaz Ahmed and skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran made 71 each, while Abishek Porel and Sudip Kumar Gharami also chipped in half-century knocks in a joint effort that scripted history.

Vishnu Vinod smacked half a dozen sixes in his unbeaten 61-ball 102 that gave Kerala a strong finish, a total of 348/8 that proved too tall an ask for Tripura in their opening fixture. Vishnu had the platform set courtesy opener-cum-captain Rohan Kunnummal's 92-ball 94 and a 129-run stand with Baba Aprajith, who later also claimed a fifer to top off a fine day in the office.

Shubham Khajuria hit a 105-ball 129 not out in the modest chase of 209 to help J&K start off their campaign with a statement 10-wicket win. After a combined bowling effort kept Chandigarh to just 208, the openers polished off the chase between themselves, taking just 37 overs to do so for a massive NRR boost upfront.

Dhruv Jurel's 61-ball 80 shone among the top-order show from Uttar Pradesh, who beat Hyderabad by 84 runs in Rajkot. Aryan Juyal's 80 came at a strike-rate of 83.33 while his fellow opener Abhishek Goswami hit a run-a-ball 81 to propel UP to 324/5 before the bowlers combined to keep the opponents to just 240.

Ravi Singh, who was recently picked up by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL Auction, put on a show by hammering 10 sixes enroute his unbeaten century for Railways against Haryana. Himanshu Rana's ton saw Haryana finish with 267/9 and then in the run chase, Railways were struggling at 63/3 at one stage when Ravi walked out to bat. The 24-year-old changed the complexion of the game with a terrific ton as he remained unbeaten on 109 until the end to guide his team to a victory.

In another game dominated by the bat, a double century from Odisha's Swastik Samal went in vain as Saurashtra chased down 346 in extraordinary fashion. Samal smashed 212 and veteran Biplab Samantray hit an unbeaten 100 in Odisha's 345/6. However, Saurashtra overcame a poor start to recover from 80/3 in the chase. Sammar Gajjar smacked an unbeaten 132 and Chirag Jani sizzled with 86 off just 55 as Saurashtra got the job done with seven balls to spare.

While the youngsters had a field day with the bat, Rohit Sharma wasn't far behind as he lit up the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur with a swashbuckling 155 that came off just 94 balls. Rohit slammed nine sixes in his century as Mumbai chased down Sikkim's 236 with almost 20 overs to spare.

Punjab's ferocious batting lineup stood tall once again to kick off their campaign with a victory. While Abhishek Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh were involved in a century stand once again up top, Anmolpreet Singh and Naman Dhir powered them to an imposing 347/6. Naman Dhir fell three short of a century as Ramandeep Singh provided the finishing touches with 27* (10). Even though Prithvi Shaw gave Maharashtra hope at the start, their innings fizzled away with key batter Ruturaj Gaikwad departing for just 1. Ramakrishna Ghosh smashed a run-a-ball 73 but it only managed to reduce the margin of defeat.

Gurjapneet Singh's four-fer was instrumental in Tamil Nadu kicking off their campaign with a facile win over Puducherry. Half-centuries from Pradosh Paul and N Jagadeesan, accompanied by significant contributions from Sai Sudharsan and Sunny Sandhu helped TN post 310/7 after which Puducherry got off to a competitive start. At one stage they were 146/2 which is when Gurjapneet struck in succession to turn the game around completely. He came back to add two more wickets to his tally as Puducherry comfortably fell short by 101 runs.

Arzan Nagwaswalla's four-wicket haul and Ravi Bishnoi's three-fer helped Gujarat swat aside Services in Alur. Nagwaswalla wrecked the Services top order to 17/3 with the new ball before Bishnoi made inroads in the middle order. Services folded for 184 as a result as Gujarat chased it down with ease in the 35th over to prevail by 8 wickets.

A fantastic century from Ricky Bhui was overshadowed by Virat Kohli's 58th List A century as Delhi beat Andhra by four wickets. Kohli went past 16000 List A runs in the process as Delhi ran riot in the run chase. However, the victory was set up by Simarjeet Singh as the pacer stood tall on a day where the batters made merry. Simarjeet got rid of KS Bharat and later Nitish Reddy apart from dismissing the centurion Bhui. He also added two more scalps in the final over of the innings to finish with a five-fer on a day that was dominated by the bat.

V Koushik and Deepraj Gaonkar picked up four wickets apiece to star in Goa's comfortable win over Chhattisgarh. Amandeep Khare was the only one to stand tall for Chhattisgarh as Koushik and Gaonkar kept making inroads at regular intervals to bowl Goa out for just 233. Snehal Kauthankar then hit an unbeaten ton to seal the deal for Goa with almost six overs to spare.
