The Assam Cricket Association has suspended four players for their alleged involvement in corruption during the 2025 Syed Mushtaq Ali Tournament.

The four players - Amit Sinha, Ishan Ahmed, Aman Tripathi and Abhishek Thakuri - have been suspended with immediate effect as they are "accused of influencing and attempting to instigate some of the current Assam team players, who took part in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 held in Lucknow from November 26 to December 8," a press release from ACA stated.

An FIR has been lodged at the crime branch in Guwahati. During this period, the players will be barred from playing in any state-level tournaments conducted by ACA, its district units and affiliated clubs. The players will stay suspended until the final outcome of the investigation.
