Stats: Mandhana-Pratika shatter partnership records

Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal put on India Women's first 200-plus partnership in World Cups, and shattered various other records while at it.

1557 runs as a pair for Mandhana and Pratika in ODIs in 2025, a number only exceeded by the Sachin Tendulkar - Sourav Ganguly pair - 1635 in 1998 - for highest partnership aggregate in a calendar year in ODIs - Men or Women. India account for four of the top-five entries in this list. Quite staggeringly, the next best in the Women's game is 972 between Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits this year.

212 - The opening stand worth 212 between these two is the highest for India Women in World Cup history, going past 184 between Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur against West Indies Women in Hamilton in 2022.

4 - Mandhana and Pratika have become the fourth pair to put up multiple 200-plus stands in Women's ODIs (for any wicket): Meg Lanning and Ellyse Perry for Australia, Tazmin Brits and Laura Wolvaardt for South Africa, Tammy Beaumont and Amy Jones for England and these two have two each.

7 - It was the seventh century partnership between these two in just 23 ODI innings together. It's the joint second-most among opening pairs in ODIs, alongside as many for Rachael Haynes, Alyssa Healy (29 innings), Tazmin Brits, Laura Wolvaardt (38 innings) and Lizelle Lee, Laura Wolvaardt (54 innings). Belinda Clark and Lisa Keightley (10 in 66 innings for Australia) top this list.

It was the fifth century stand between Mandhana and Pratika in ODIs in 2025, a number only matched by Clark and Keightley (as many in 2000) for most in a calendar year.

Moreover, it was their 13th 50-plus stand in 20 outings together in 2025 - no other pair (any wicket) has got more than seven in a calendar year.

3 - This was the third instance of both openers scoring hundred in a Women's World Cup innings. The previous instances featured Lynne Thomas, Enid Bakewell (ENG-W vs INT-XI-W, Hove, 1973) and Lindsay Reeler, Ruth Buckstein (AUS-W vs NED-W, Perth, 1988).

Pratika's glorious start in ODIs

23 innings taken by Pratika to complete 1000 runs in ODIs, the joint-least in the format alongside Australia's Lindsay Reeler. Meg Lanning and Nicole Bolton are joint-second in this list with 25 innings each.

304 days - Pratika got to the milestone within 304 days from debut (December 22, 2024), by far the quickest to get there by number of days taken, bettering 734 for Laura Wolvaardt: Feb 07, 2016 (debut) to Feb 10, 2018 (milestone reached).

Mandhana's imperious 2025

14 hundreds for Mandhana in ODIs, second only to Meg Lanning (15) in the Women's game, followed by Suzie Bates (13), Tammy Beaumont (12) and Nat Sciver-Brunt (10). Nine of Mandhana's 14 have come since January 2024.

5 hundreds for Mandhana in 2025 is the joint-most for anyone in Women's ODIs in a calendar year, alongside as many for Tazmin Brits this year. Mandhana's four in 2024 is the next most in this list. It was her third World Cup hundred, the joint-most for India Women alongside Harmanpreet Kaur. Earlier, she became the second India batter with three consecutive 50-plus scores in World Cups; Harmanpreet had got as many during their runners-up campaign in 2017.

17 - Mandhana now has 17 tons in international cricket, the joint-most in the Women's game alongside Meg Lanning. Bates and Beaumont are joint-second in this list with 14 each.

31 sixes for Mandhana in ODIs in 2025, the most for anyone in the format in a calendar year, surpassing Lizelle Lee's 28 for South Africa in 2017. Deandra Dottin (2013), Chloe Tryon (2017) and Chamari Athapaththu (2023) are joint-third in this list with 21 each. Overall, the left-hander now has 73 maximums in ODIs, joint-third alongside Tryon and only behind Dottin (91) and Sophie Devine (75).

10 individual hundreds for India Women in ODIs in 2025 - the most for any team in a calendar year, surpassing eight each for the White Ferns in 2018 and South Africa in 2025. Pratika's was the 41st individual hundred in Women's ODIs this year, well clear of the next best: 29 in 2024.
