Texas Super Kings romped home to a comfortable seven-wicket win against the San Fracisco Unicorns and climbed to the top of the table in Major League Cricket 2024.

The Super Kings were helped by Mohammad Mohsin's four-wicket haul that derailed the Unicorns' innings completely. The tone was set early by Zia Ul Haq who bagged the openers Finn Allen and Jake Fraser-McGurk inside the powerplay.

The next big jolt for the Unicorns came soon after the powerplay when they lost five wickets in the space of 15 deliveries. Both Dwayne Bravo and Mohsin struck twice in an over each as the middle order was scythed through. The Unicorns went from 66/2 to 81/7 as the Super Kings gained a stranglehold of the game.

They managed to restrict them to just 127 thereafter with Mohsin adding two more to his tally to finish with figures of 4/13.

The target proved to be a cakewalk for the Super Kings, particularly after their openers Devon Conway and Faf du Plessis wiped out 61 of it inside the powerplay. Despite minor stutters where both openers fell in the thirties, the Super Kings romped home in style.
