Dahani to miss 'Super 4' clash against India
Shahnawaz Dahani will miss Sunday's 'Super 4' clash against India with a suspected side strain. The Pakistan fast bowler picked up the injury during the team's 155-run win over Hong Kong in which he sent down two overs and claimed the wicket of Yasim Murtaza.
"As is the case with any suspected side strain injury, the medical team will monitor him for the next 48-72 hours, following which they will make decisions, including carrying out a scan and further participation in the tournament," a PCB release stated.

Axar Patel replaces Ravindra Jadeja in India's squad
Axar Patel has been approved as the injury replacement for Ravindra Jadeja in India's squad for the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. Jadeja, who sustained a right knee injury, has been ruled out of the tournament. Axar, who was one of the standbys at the time of the squad announcement, will fly out to Dubai.
Jadeja had previously missed the ODI series against West Indies earlier this year due to an injury on the same knee. A BCCI statement neither specified the nature of the current injury nor the timeline for recovery. "He is currently under the supervision of the BCCI medical team," said the statement.
Rashid upbeat about Afghanistan's fast-bowling growth
Rashid Khan has expressed his delight at the rise of Afghanistan's fast bowling unit in the ongoing Asia Cup, where they have beaten Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to secure a spot in the Super 4s. Afghanistan have always boasted of a strong spin department but now have quicks capable of shouldering the burden in the shortest format. The young pair of FazalHaq Farooqi and Naveen Ul Haq were among the wickets in the game against Sri Lanka in which the hosts were bundled out for just 105.
"Bowling has always been good for us, but if you look at our side, the fast bowling department was struggling earlier, but we have good bowlers now," Rashid said on Thursday.
"Someone like Fazalhaq Farooqi has had the experience of playing in the IPL. The exposure he got there [with Sunrisers Hyderabad] has been massive. We also have Naveen-ul-Haq, who is playing all around the world. This is a massive sign for us. The focus is on getting better with each game and if we get a strong start, then when the spinners come on in the middle, it becomes easier," he added.
Rashid revealed focus had gone into improving the side's fast bowling and that they are prepared for strong oppositions in the Super 4s.
"We've focused on fast bowling and getting better in that area. We are ready for any team, and not just India or Pakistan. Our focus is the same, and we train with the same mindset and intensity for every opponent," Rashid said.
