Scotland further closed the gap with CWC League 2 frontrunners Oman with a nail-biting last-over win at Dubai, Mark Watt sealing their 11th win of the competition on the penultimate ball to narrow the gap with the table-toppers to 14 points with the Scots still boasting 15 matches in hand. Opener Kashyap Prajapati struck 81 of 106 to set a solid platform for the Omanis despite regular wickets at the other end, before a brisk half-century from veteran Mohammad Nadeem saw his side set a tricky 226-run target for the Scots. Richie Berrington and George Munsey's 98-run stand for the 4th wicket brought Scotland back into the game after a shaky start, and though the heat would get the better of Berrington before the end, Watt would prove equal to the task,
