Live Cricket Score - RCB v MI, IPL 2022

RCB make it three in four
Maxwell starts his IPL campaign with back to back fours as RCB win with nine deliveries to spare. It has been a clinical performance from Du Plessis's side, with the bowlers, Rawat and Kohli playing key roles. RCB move up to the third spot with this win.
DEEPU STATS: Mumbai Indians' worst starts to an IPL season
- 5 defeats in 2014
- 4 defeats in 2008
- 4 defeats in 2015 (finished as Champions)
- 4 defeats in 2022 *
- 3 defeats in 2018
Note: Four of the five seasons (2008, 2014, 2018 & 2022) were seasons immediately after a mega-auction.
A wicket for Brevis off his first delivery
A wicket for the leg-spinning Brevis off his first delivery. Kohli, given out leg-before, takes the DRS and there appears to be an inside edge. But the third umpire reckons it was bat and pad at the same time and moves on to ball tracking. It's hitting the stumps and Kohli has to depart for 48. He is definitely disappointed with the decision.
End of a fine knock
Rawat survives a review for leg-before off Unadkat with the ball pitching outside leg. However, the 22-year-old is run out at the non-striker's end in the same over attempting a second, thanks to a direct hit from Ramandeep. He departs for 66 off 47. RCB need 22 more off 19 balls.
Lucky break for Kohli
Brevis puts down a simple chance at deep backward square leg to give Kohli a reprieve and deny Thampi a wicket. RCB are 111/1 after 15 overs, 41 more off 30.
Rawat's maiden IPL fifty keeps RCB on track
Kohli comes down the track to Pollard and carves the ball between cover and point for his first four. He also strikes a boundary apiece off Ashwin and Thampi. Rawat continues to impress at the other end, scoring a straight four off Ashwin and a six and a four off Thampi. 15 runs off the 12th over while Unadkat manages to keep it quiet in the 13th, giving away only 6. With a single off Bumrah in the 14th over, Rawat brings up a 38-ball fifty. In the same over, Kohli nonchalantly puts away a short delivery over midwicket for a four and picks up three off the last ball as RCB cross 100 while the fifty partnership also comes up.
Unadkat strikes
Du Plessis looks to slog a slower ball but ends up handing a catch to Suryakumar at long-on to depart for 16 off 24. This is also the third time in four innings that the RCB captain has been caught at long-off/long-on. RCB are 50/1 in the 9th over.
Fifty up for RCB
The half-century stand is raised in the eighth over, with Pollard giving away only five. But the earlier over yielded 15 runs with Rawat scoring a six and Du Plessis a four off Ashwin.

RCB watchful in powerplay
Only four runs off the fourth over bowled by Thampi while M Ashwin follows it up by conceding only a single. Bumrah has been used for his second over inside the powerplay and he gives away only three. RCB are 30/0 after 6.
Steady start for RCB
Thampi starts with a one-run opening over but RCB get going in the second with Anuj Rawat going straight and over long-on for two successive sixes off Unadkat. Bumrah keeps it tight in the third over as RCB move to 21/0.
Suryakumar single-handedly powers MI to 151
Expensive finish for the RCB, with Suryakumar doing plenty of damage. Siraj concedes 23 off the 19th over, including three sixes for Suryakumar, who also hits a maximum off Harshal off the final ball. He finishes with an unbeaten 68 off 37, including 5 fours and 6 sixes. MI finish with 151/6. Will this be enough?
Suryakumar tries to lead MI towards respectability
A six and a four off Shahbaz in the 15th over is followed by a boundary off Siraj and a six off Hasaranga as Suryakumar is fighting a lone battle, even surviving a leg-before call which went upstairs. A dipping delivery from Harshal was taken on the full by Suryakumar who crouched and looked to scoop it. Umpire's call saved the batter. MI are 108/6. Can they reach 140?
MI six down
Second wicket for Harshal Patel as he removes debutant Ramandeep Singh in the 14th over. It was an off-cutter and the batter only managed to edge it to the 'keeper. MI are 79/6.
Quick wickets leave MI in trouble
Looking to use the pace of Akash Deep and guide one over the thirdman fence, Kishan ends up handing a catch to Siraj to depart for 26 off 28. Tilak Varma looked to pick up a quick single having played the ball to short cover. However, Maxwell makes his presence felt in the game, getting to the ball quickly and under-arming a direct hit at the non-striker's end. It is also a double-wicket maiden. Hasaranga traps Pollard in front with a googly in the 11th over, and the West Indian uses the DRS but it's umpire's call. He departs for a duck, MI are 62/5, losing five wickets for 12 runs.
Hasaranga removes Brevis
Going on the backfoot, Brevis doesn't pick a straight delivery and he's trapped plumb in front. He departs for 8 off 11, leaving MI at 60/2 in the 9th over.
