Tamil Nadu, Himachal, Saurashtra, Kerala and Services qualified directly for the quarterfinal stage of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Puducherry failed to progress to the next round despite a victory against Mumbai in their last game which put them level on points with Tamil Nadu and Karnataka in their group. Bengal also defeated Karnataka but could not get through to the next stage. Vidarbha vs Tripura, Karnataka vs Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh vs Madhya Pradesh are the pre-quarterfinal clashes. Maharashtra, despite four wins in five games, failed to make it through as Kerala and Madhya Pradesh, with the same number of wins, had a better NRR than Maharashtra.
