1-1

The impressive Saqib used the tried and tested yorker-short ball combination to pick up a couple of lower-order wickets. On the other hand, Shadab Khan showcased his pyrotechnics, but by then the damage was already done. The only consolation for Pakistan was that they didn't get bowled out as they batted out their quota of 20 overs.

One of the interesting points to note is the team batting first has generally come out on top in this year's T20 Blast games in Leeds but Pakistan opted to field first.

Pakistan in further trouble

It is just getting worse for Pakistan. Moeen got one to spin to castle Fakhar and then Rashid bagged his third scalp by sending Azam back to the hut. There is a hint of turn and England's spinners taking advantage of it.

Rashid picks two

Now Rizwan has chipped one back to Adil Rashid. Excellent reflexes on display. The spinners are doing the trick with Parkinson giving Rashid valuable support. The required run rate is over 13.

Moeen followed it up by sending Hafeez back to the hut. England are clearly gaining ascendancy.

Another one down

Rashid would be pleased with that wicket. He lured Maqsood out of the crease and beat him with Buttler whipping the bails off in a flash. England whittle away.

Saqib picks up vital scalp

A pull here, the occasional loft there... Pakistan made a fine start. However, at the fag end of the PP, Babar tried to pull Saqib but could only spoon a catch towards extra cover. The odd delivery seems to be stopping a hint.

PAK need 201

Haris, who had a rough day, took two in one over while Shaheen provided the finishing touches by dismissing Parkinson to pull things back to some extent.

200 is still a very good score.

Pakistan chip away

Shadab dismissed Bairstow while the dangerous Livingstone was run out. There was a bit of doubt as to whether Haris had removed the bail before collecting the ball. But Haris managed to remove the other bail from the groove and the TV umpire adjudged the decision in favour of Pakistan.

The visitors continue to chip away.

Hasnain to the fore

Livingstone continued to showcase his pyrotechnics and clubbed Imad over log-off. Buttler, too, thumped a six in the same over. However, against the run of play, the England skipper fell to Hasnain. Just in the nick of time, Pakistan have again picked up a scalp.

Hasnain breaks threatening stand

Eventually, Moeen fell to the cutter from Hasnain. Soft dismissal in the end. Oh, Pakistan needed that wicket.

Moeen, Buttler on a hitting spree

When England are in a spot of bother, the batters counter-attack. The template has proved to be the backbone of England's success in limited overs in recent times.

The duo of Buttler and Moeen followed the same template by crunching a volley of shots. Buttler brought out the scoop and employed the drive to put Pakistan on the back foot. Meanwhile, Moeen used the cut, punch, slog-sweep and drive to collect boundaries.

Hairs gave 19 in a single over. Hasnain too gave away 19 in one over!
