It prompts the question of whether KKR missed a trick by one, sending Russell in at No.4 instead of maybe a Morgan, and what exactly was Tripathi's role in the XI if he was sent even after Pat Cummins despite being a specialist batsman. DC will be relieved with the win after having their hearts in their mouths in that passage of play.

Shreyas Iyer, earlier, led Delhi to a massive 228 in their 20 overs. In the end, the win took them to the top of the table after restricting KKR to 210/8. Like we've seen in the past few games in Sharjah, no total is safe enough here. But all the sides need is some application at the top to get the job done.
