Persistent rain frustrated England on Day 3 of the second Test at Old Trafford, Manchester as the day's play was washed out without a ball being bowled.

With West Indies having won the opening Test in Southampton, a draw is sufficient for them to retain the Wisden Trophy. This will have England worried, especially since no play was possible on the third day and that they'll now have to bowl out the West Indies twice in the remaining two days.

England earlier batted for close to two days, riding on centuries from Ben Stokes and Dom Sibley post 469/9 decl. In reply, West Indies were 32 for 1 having batted 14 overs in the final session
