She doesn't like to bowl to fellow female cricketers in her academy at the Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 26, in Chandigarh. Dismissing boys gives her more joy, after all. Meet 16-year-old Chandigarh medium-pacer, Kashvee Gautam, who created history by bagging all the 10 wickets against Arunachal Pradesh in the ongoing Women's U-19 One-Day Trophy in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, on Tuesday. In her previous match against Jammu and Kashmir, she returned with a seven-wicket haul.

"I tried to bowl wicket-to-wicket. I have learnt this after watching the videos of my inspiration Jhulan Goswami. Her height helps her extract a lot of bounce, but I am not as tall as her. So I rely on my accuracy, which is my biggest strength," Kashvee told TOI after achieving the feat.

"I am a natural in-swing bowler and that's why most of my wickets are either leg before the wicket or bowled. My aim is to complete the season with 100 wickets," added Kashvee, who made her debut three years ago for Punjab U-19, at the age of 13.

On playing with boys, the teenager said: "If you get the wicket of a boy, it will shut them down forever. They will never try to bully you or pass comments like this game is not for girls. I really enjoy bamboozling them in the practice matches."

On Tuesday, such was the accuracy of Kashvee that all the wickets were either leg before the wicket or clean bowled. She also claimed a hat-trick in the process.

Defending a modest total of 186, Chandigarh bundled Arunachal Pradesh out for a meagre 25 runs to register a thumping 161-run victory. Kashvee has been in red-hot form for Chandigarh. The teenager has bagged 63 wickets so far this season. With 31 scalps in nine matches, including four five-wicket hauls, she is the leading wicket-taker in the women's U-23 One-day trophy.

She continued her impressive run in the Women's U-23 T20 trophy by bagging 14 wickets in seven matches. In the Women's U-19 One-Day trophy, she has already 18 wickets in her kitty from just three matches.
