South Africa win!
Live cricket score: South Africa vs England, 1st T20I

Last-ball finish. Win by 1 run. Scenes. Ngidi has defended 7 runs off the last over. We will have the report up soon for you. What a game this has been...
It's all happening
26 needed off 15 and Stokes holes out. Ngidi the bowler. And all of a sudden, England have lost three wickets for 20 runs. Moeen Ali joins Morgan in the middle. This could go close.
Roy out on 70 (38)
It's taken Beuran Hendricks 14 overs to come into the attack. And he strikes almost immediately, picking Roy with a slow short ball. But is it too late now? England could tick the ball around and still chase this. Need something dramatic here if South Africa are to win!
Phehlukwayo gets Bairstow
As Roy gets his fifty at the other end, Bairstow has been trapped in front. But wait, is that going down leg? England still on track. The sight of Morgan walking in just calms nerves down. 87 needed off 67 now
Steyn strikes with Buttler's wicket
He's picked the right moment, and the right man, to become South Africa's highest wicket-taker in T20Is. Has bowled quick and with aggression and Buttler -- he off 15 off 10 balls consisting of three boundaries -- can only miscue this back-of-a-length delivery into the deep. You should also know how Steyn nearly had Bairstow next ball... with a dipping slow ball. Smiles all around. He's back.
England need 178 runs to win
A three-run penultimate over by Mark Wood was backed up by a mean, mean last over from Chris Jordan, who was at one point on a hat-trick and ended up conceding only five runs. It meant that South Africa were stopped short of 180, and will now have to make do defending 177. That after they looked like getting over 200 on this very flat pitch. De Kock, Bavuma and Rassie all scored but the finishers just didn't have it in them today. 29/4 in the last four overs. We'll see how that finish matters when the game's done.
Miller wicket dents SA
A fantastic catch from Jordan brings about that. There's wind around and he's judged that and taken it side-on at long-off. Nicely done. As it was from Tom Curran, who finally gets it right with a slower ball.
Bavuma: Dropped on 43, out for 43
Tough chance by Joe Denly at deep mid-wicket but Rashid gets him in the same over. Another sweep to a ball pitching outside leg and he finds Moeen Ali at 45. South Africa losing a bit of steam here.
Rassie also got out to Stokes three balls ago. Botched pull shot to deep square.
Fifty stand .. and not out
That's a great review from Rassie. Bumble doesn't understand it on air. It's a dipping full toss that hits him in line with middle-stump. Hits him high, off-stump visible, and it's missing leg-stump. That looked a bit out. De Kock flashes a smile in the dressing room. Also good way to celebrate the 50-run stand between Bavuma and vd Dussen that's come off only 31 balls.
68/1 after powerplay
Most of that work was done by de Kock but van der Dussen -- one of the nicest guys off the field -- picked a four and a six off Jordan in that last powerplay over. Not so nice on the field, is he? The right kind of not nice - let's settle on that.
De Kock tees off .. and falls
This has been some start for South Africa. 48/0 after 4 overs and then Moeen gets de Kock first-ball in the fifth over. But let's talk about de Kock. About how even a beamer from Mark Wood couldn't shake him up. He first hit Tom Curran out of attack with a 15-run over and then laid into Wood, hitting him for 20 runs. The ball after the beamer was also a beamer, not called though, and it went for a six! Over fine leg! Sort of sums his innings up.
TOSS: England opt to bowl
Yeah, Dale Steyn is playing. "The old man's back," de Kock sums it up at the toss. He also confirms that Bavuma will open the batting with him. For England, Stokes, Wood and Buttler return. No Dawin Malan... I am running off to our tech people, who are usually great but won't give us an option to use emoticons. How I could use a few sad ones today to make sense of Malan's axing. I mean how can you drop him
