Hope keeps WI on track:
A few tight overs from India but West Indies still on track, with Hope entering the 80s. Five overs remaining and West Indies need to 31 win. But Shami and Chahar have only one over left each.
End of a fine knock:
Hetmyer's innings finally comes to an end as he mis-hits a Shami delivery to Iyer in the deep, who doesn't make a mistake this time. But the damage appears to have been done as the left-hander departs for 139 off 106, with 11 fours and 7 sixes, leaving West Indies at 229 for 2 in the 39th over.
Lucky break:
A short ball from Chahar and Hetmyer hits it to long-on where Shreyas Iyer puts down a simple catch. This will surely hurt India. Hetmyer strikes two sixes off Jadeja in the next over while the partnership reaches 200 in the 38th.
Fifty for Hope, partnership 150, hundred for Hetmyer:
Hope gets to his fifty off 92 deliveries in what has been a watchful innings. Hetmyer's quick-fire knock, however, has kept West Indies on track, with the second wicket pair taking their partnership to 150. Hetmyer brings up his fifth ODI hundred with a single off Kuldeep in the 33rd over. India, though, have managed to put some pressure on West Indies by drying up the boundaries. WI are 178 for 1, needing 110 more from 17 overs.
Jadeja under attack:
After three quiet overs for 10 runs, Jadeja comes under attack from Hetmyer, who goes over long-on and midwicket for successive sixes in the 22nd over. West Indies move to 114 for 1, with their scoring rate now over five. The second wicket pair have also extended the partnership past 100. Things are looking good for West Indies at the moment. Can India fight back?
50 for Hetmyer
A run-a-ball half-century for the left-hander and he's keeping West Indies on course. With Shai Hope struggling, West Indies needed one made to score briskly and Hetmyer has done exactly that. West Indies 100 for 1
Hetmyer takes on the spinners:
Having scored two fours off Jadhav in the 14th over to bring up the half-century stand, Hetmyer takes on Kuldeep to clear the long-on fence for his first six. West Indies are 79 for 1 after 15.
Hetmyer, Hope steady WI:
Having edged Shami for a couple of boundaries, Hetmyer has now settled down. Hope, meanwhile, has been watchful as West Indies move to 36 for 1 after 10.
Ambris falls:
Chahar strikes in the fifth over. Looking to flick without any footwork proves costly for Ambris, who's trapped in front for 9. West Indies are 11 for 1.
The chase:
Deepak Chahar begins with a maiden to Shai Hope but Mohammed Shami bowls a bit too straight to Sunil Ambris, who flicks it away for a couple of boundaries in the second over.
India finish with 288:
A solid performance from middle order, led by half-centuries from Iyer and Pant, that has helped India finish with a strong total on a trying wicket. Will the West Indies batting order challenge the Indian bowling?
Controversial dismissal:
Following Jadhav's wicket, Jadeja was found short of the crease at the non-striker's end. The umpire, however, did not ask for the third umpire's help immediately and went upstairs only after the replays were shown and possibly relayed on to the field.
Jadhav, Jadeja stand:
Jadhav has played the aggressor in a brisk half-century stand that has helped India make good progress despite the dismissal of the half-centurions. India move to 268 for 5 after 47 overs.
Pant falls:
Another important strike for the West Indies. Having struck a four off Pollard, Pant tries to play the pick-up shot over square leg but fails to clear Hetmyer in the deep. He departs for 71 off 69, leaving India at 210 for 5 in the 40th over.
Iyer departs:
A wicket against the run of play as Iyer departs for a well-made 70 off 88 - he flicks a delivery from Joseph straight to the hands of Pollard at midwicket. India are 194/4 in the 37th over.
Reprieve for Pant:
The left-hander tries to go hard at a full delivery from Pollard and ends up hitting it straight to cover where Cottrell puts down the catch.
Twin fifties power India:
A good effort from the two middle-order batsmen. Iyer brings up a 70-ball half-century and has shown solid application on a trying, double-natured pitch. Pant, meanwhile, gets to his maiden fifty-plus score, off 49 deliveries. the partnership has crossed 100 in the 35th over with both batsmen now finding the boundaries more regularly and have set things up nicely for India.
Iyer, Pant help India forward:
His love for sixes means one can't keep Pant quiet for too long. He goes down on one knee and slog-sweeps Chase for a maximum to extend the partnership past 40. Iyer, meanwhile, has been happy rotating the strike and milking the singles as they raise a half-century stand off 66 deliveries.
Measured Pant:
It has been a good innings so far from Rishabh Pant, who has been judicious with his shot selection. A flick off Joseph gives him his first boundary as India move to 104 for 2 after 25.
Crucial wicket:
Alzarri Joseph picks up an important wicket to cut short India's recovery. It was a short of a length delivery that skidded through to Rohit, who was late on the pull and ended up toe-ending it to Pollard at midwicket to depart for 36 off 56. India are 80 for 3, with Rishabh Pant walking out at No. 4.
