South Africa win by 40 runs
Live Cricket Score - Australia vs South Africa, 3rd ODI, 2018

A bit of an anti-climax at the end. Australia were in the chase for a good portion but Shaun Marsh's dismissal soon after the century hurt Australia real bad. Glenn Maxwell struggled for any kind of rhythm and could manage a rather scratchy 35 from 27. But it was almost over once Shaun was gone.
Massive effort from South Africa. They win their first ODI series in Australia since 2009. They had one bad game in Adelaide, when they should have ideally chased down 231. But today they put on a commanding middle-order batting display to close it out.
That 252-run stand between Du Plessis (125) and Miller (139) will be one for the ages, given that it came from a position of 55/3 in the 16th over. More work to be done for Australia. They've got to get their batting composition right. And on the evidence of today, have some work in the death bowling department as well.
Anyway, they have one T20I against this South African team and then India lurk around the corner! It's going to be fun following their progress as they build towards their World Cup defence next year.
That's it from us. Until next time, ciao!
Dropped chance doesn't cost much
Steyn gets Carey nicking, QdK accepts the offering. Lungi Ngidi follows up with a solid over as Pat Cummins keeps swinging and missing. South Africa definitely ahead now. 64 needed off 24. All to do for Maxwell!
Chance goes begging
Pretorius misjudges one at fine leg. Alex Carey top edges this pull off Ngidi. But he survives. He has to keep going here when Rabada and Steyn come along.
Glenn, the Big Show, Maxwell is in...
He gets a swivel pull away for four straight away. Pretorius finishes with figures of 2 for 61. Under the situation, it's a great effort from the designated fifth bowler. 87 off 48 needed now. Ngidi comes back.
Massive wicket - Centurion Marsh is gone
Another big wicket for Pretorius. Wowza and this is the centurion Shaun Marsh who has to depart. Pretorius takes pace off the ball and Marsh targets that mid-wicket boundary once again. Manages only a top-edge. Klaasen settles under the skier. What an innings though from Marsh. 106 off 102
Century - A classy innings from Shaun Marsh
Sixth ton in ODIs, third in 2018 for this elegant batsman. Has made sure there was no harakiri after those early wickets. When the opportunity presented itself, he's been unafraid to pepper the mid-wicket fence.
106 needed off 60! Who you got?
Wicket - Pretorius gets Stoinis 146/4
The 107-run stand is broken. This could be a massive moment in the game. A nothing ball after being hit for two sixes earlier in the over from Pretorius. Short and wide outside off, Stonis could have hit it anywhere. He finds Markram at point. Gone for 63 off 76.
Has the 5th bowler done his bit? Here's Alex Carey. This one's delicately poised now!
