In Pictures: New Zealand's stunning one-run win
New Zealand pulled off an incredible heist, beating England by 1 run at the Basin Reserve in Wellington
Neil Wagner was at the heart of the stunning turnaround from New Zealand as he picked four wickets, including the last one of James Anderson when England were just two runs away from a win
New Zealand became the third team after India and England to win a Test after following on. It also only the fourth time such a win has occured in 2494 Tests and 146 years of Test cricket
Let's begin from beginning... Early on Day 5, Tim Southee removed Ollie Robinson
With Ben Duckett also falling early, England relied on Root and Ollie Pope to get a move on in their chase
Southee bowled an exceptional spell early on, and had the keeper standing up to the wickets after the arrival of Ollie Pope to deny the batters a chance to step out
New Zealand dismissed Pope and Harry Brook off successive balls to leave England on 80 for 5
Joe Root led the way after England lost four wickets in the first hour of the morning session
Root went after Michael Bracwell as he finished the first session unbeaten on 74 off as many deliveries.
Matt Henry had back trouble and walked off the field in the second half of the morning session, but returning in the second
Early in the second session, Neil Wagner bounced out a struggling Ben Stokes
Joe Root, who was anchoring the innings, mistimed a pull against Wagner and fell for 95. His wicket meant England were seven down, giving New Zealand hopes of a late heist
Bouncers became the currency in the second session and Stuart Broad soon perished to one
Foakes pushed England ahead after several hiccups and got them within 7 runs of victory... but then fell as he found Wagner at fine leg after attempting to pull away a short ball from Southee
Jack Leach and James Anderson took the team to within two runs of victory, but Wagner dismissed Anderson to complete New Zealand's stunning turnaround in Basin Reserve
New Zealand's one-run win - only the second such result in the history of Test cricket - meant the two sides shared the series spoils.
