Trent Boult got New Zealand the first breakthrough in the morning by dismissing the nightwatchman Mohammad Abbas.

Abbas reviewed the caught behind call, only to be left embarrassed.

Kyle Jamieson picked up his second fifer of the match, and also his first 10-wicket haul in Test career.

Kane Williamson also picked up a wicket - his first in last five years.

Boult finished with figures of 3 for 3 for 43 in the second innings.

Jamieson, with his 11 for 117, now has the best bowling figures ever recorded by a New Zealand bowler at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch.

New Zealand won by an innings and 174 runs to sweep the series 2-0 and book the no. 1 spot in team rankings.

New Zealand have now won all four Tests held at home this summer.
