RPS vs MI, IPL 2017 Final
The 10th edition of Indian Premier League boiled down to the final clash - between Rohit Sharma's Mumbai Indians and Steven Smith's Rising Pune Supergiant.
Jaydev Unadkat gave RPS a fantastic start after MI opted to bat first in the final.
Unadkat dismissed Parthiv Patel and Lendl Simmons in the same over to put MI in trouble.
Adam Zampa removed Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard in the same over to leave MI in all sorts of trouble.
RPS kept chipping away, leaving MI on 79 for 7.
Krunal Pandya scored a vital 38-ball 47 to resurrect MI's essay.
Mitchell Johnson proved to be a perfect foil to Krunal, as the pair added 50 runs for the eighth wicket to push MI to 129 for 8 in 20 overs.
Even as Rahul Tripathi fell early, Ajinkya Rahane led RPS' chase.
Rahane and Smith added 54 runs off 57 balls for the second wicket.
Bumrah removed MS Dhoni at a crucial juncture as RPS began to wilt under pressure.
With 11 to defend in the last over, Mitchell Johnson dismissed Manoj Tiwary and Steve Smith, and helped MI become three-time champions.
